The first generation has pale yellow to orange-brown wings with 3 greyish red horizontal lines, the central line the thickest. The second generation is pinkish red with faint lines across and sometimes eyes on the wings. Not all individuals have eyes. ♂ have feathered feelers, ♀ have thread like feelers. ⇔ wsp. 26-33 mm syn. GEOMETRA LINEARIA
