Top surface white with black edge and stain. Under surface white with black-brown veins. There is a wet and dry season variety. The wet season has broader black veins and has a yellowish lower rear side. The dry season version is white with only a small yellow spot and the black on the veins is smaller. The caterpillar has several stages to become hairy and bold. ⇔ wsp. 44-62 mm syn. ANAPHAEIS AUROTA
