A little spider with green legs and breast, the rear body is brown with leaf-like markings and a white-yellow edge. Found in deciduous woodland or open terrain. In winter sheltering under bark of dead wood sometimes in groups. The ♂ hold mock fights with each other. ⇔ l. 3-6 mm LA: ≈ The ARANIELLA CUCURBITINA (Cucumber green spider) is more rounded and has a green abdomen. ≈ DIAEA DORSATA (Green crab spider) is completely green with black and white eyes. ≈ HERIAEUS HIRTUS is green with a white mark on the body and often a pink spot.
