Shiny green beetle with yellow-white markings on the rear, legs and belly are copper coloured, strong jaws and large eyes. Found on moorland and sandy areas, flies around looking for prey. Larvae hunt for small bugs as well as self-dug burrows. ⇔ l. 10-15 mm LA: ≈ The CICINDELA HYBRIDA (Northern dune tiger beetle) has similar build and behaviour but is more bronze coloured.
