Long somewhat flat yellow-brown beetle. The shield is pointed towards the end with light and dark vertical stripes. Larvae prefer eating grain and sugar beets, specifically the roots, while the adult feeds on grasses and leaves. The larvae develop over 4-5 years after which the adult lives for a few months. Mostly night active. ⇔ l. 7-11 mm When on their backs, click beetles can jump with a little click to right themselves. LA: ≈ The AGRYPNUS MURINUS is grey marked with pinkish legs and antennae.
