Large curved red beak, white belly and black back with white dots.♀ has round the eye green blue coloured bare skin, she is smaller than the ♂. Very noisy birds. ♀ hatches in a tree cavity that is closed of with mud to protect against predators, with only a small hole for food and excrement. Only feeds on insects and invertebrates. ⇔ l. 54-58 cm
