Small white butterfly with a border of blue and brown markings along the edges. There are two thin lighter coloured bands on the wings. Mostly found with spread wings preferring dry sandy areas. The caterpillar feeds on thyme. ⇔ wsp. 20-23 mm Found in south Europe. LA: ≈ The EPIRRHOE RIVATA (Wood Carpet) has two wide brown bands. ≈ The XANTHORHOE MONTANATA (Silver-ground Carpet) has a central wide band on its wings.
