Small grey brown bear with a long tail and a long flexible white nose. The ears are small with white hairs and the face can look like a mask caused by the black/white pattern. With young, the black rings on the tail are more distinct. Day-active, noisy, searching in the soil for food, digs for small animals and sleeps in trees. The ♀ lives together with young in groups, the ♂ is solitary and very territorial. ⇔ hbl. 40-65 cm, tl. 40-65 cm syn. Coatimundi
