Green hummingbird with a bronze glow. The ♀ has a green marked lower side, white mark behind and below the eye and a light marked slightly forked black tail. The ♂ is bronze green with a green head and breast, white markings behind the eye and a small violet to blue throat marking, white thighs and a deeply forked blue-black tail. Prefers to sit while feeding. ⇔ l. 12-13 cm
