Aah-Yeah
A small frog with a bright yellow belly with black markings, yellow on the inside of the legs as well. The back is pale brown to olive green with warts. Round dark pupils and no vocal sac. The back is well camouflaged but in danger, it shows its yellow belly by lifting its head or sometimes just flipping on its back. The warts emit a toxin that can be painful to humans. In the daytime it rests in the water, at night looks for bugs on land. ⇔ l. 3-6 cm LA: ≈ The BOMBINA BOMBINA (European fire-bellied toad) is very similar but with a red belly.
