A yellow canary, the ♂ has an olive coloured back and face markings, everything else being bright yellow. The ♀ is paler in colour, more grey-brown and with a darker back, the leading edge of the wings has a yellow band. Can be found in bushes, grassy patches as well a semi-desert. ⇔ l. 12-13 cm syn. CRITHAGRA FLAVIVENTRIS
