Pinkish brown front wings with thin dark stripes towards the tips. The rear wings are pink, black, white striped, as is the body. The caterpillar has, like all hawk moths, a thorn like prominence on its back, like a little tail. ⇔ wsp. 90-120 mm LA: ≈ The AGRIUS CONVOLVULI (Convolvulus hawk-moth) has greyish wings and neck collar.
