Black/white pattern with long slim front wings. The ♂ has double feathered antennae. The head is brown but only visible from below. There can be completely black copies. Caterpillar resembles a twig both in colour and in the build. Night active preferably in deciduous woodland. ⇔ wsp. 40-50 mm
