A green head, throat and back. Breast is green followed by a blue plus larger red collar, this will be the ♂. ♀ is brown with a yellow-grey belly. Feeds on nectar and fruit however when breeding also small insects that are fed to the young. They build an oval nest with side entrances, constructed of plants glued together with spider webbing. ⇔ l. 11-12 cm
