Small brown bird with vertically erect tail and pointy beak. Red-brown back, white eyebrow, black stripes on wing and tail, the belly is sandy yellow. ♂ builds a nest, the ♀ inspects it and if she approves she decorates it, otherwise he has to start over. Very loud singing for its size. ⇔ l. 9-10 cm LA: ≈ In Europe, we only have one Wren but in the US there are 80 in this genus of which the TROGLODYTES AEDON (House wren) is the most common.
