Light yellow up to light brown. ♂ is red-eyed and will become brightly yellow, olive-brown wings with a black head in the mating season. ♀remains light yellow. ♂ tightly weaves multiple round shaped nests each season. The nests are built in colonies for multiple females often over water and sometimes in suburban areas. ♀ chooses the nest. ⇔ l. 14-15 cm
