Upper surface brown orange with black markings and black tipped front wings with a white pattern. Black marks and spots along the edge of the orange hindwing. Underside brownish with eyes along the rear edge. Forewing brown with white and orange marks. ⇔ wsp. 50-60 mm syn. CYNTHIA CARDUI A very good flyer can migrate up to 1000 km. to escape damp and cold. LA: ≈ The front wing tips are same as the VANESSA ATALANTA (Red admiral).
