Soft yellow butterfly with a pattern of black markings on its wings and body. The line of markings on the front wing is specific but, can vary in length. The ♂ is darker yellow with feathered antennae, the ♀ is almost white with thread-shaped antennae. The caterpillar can be up to 40 mm and grey-brown with white length lines, thick white to brown brushes. ⇔ wsp. 34-42 mm Head and body are hairy which is typical for Erebid moths. LA: ≈ The SPILOSOMA LUBRICIPEDA (White Ermine) is white and has a different marking pattern on its wings.
