Green spider with long wide legs and prominent black/white eyes. The ♂ has a more olive green tinge and a yellow rear with a red line. The ♀ rear is bright green with a dark length line, and she is considerably larger. Often hunting at sunny forest edges between the leafage. ⇔ l. 8-15 mm syn. MICROMMATA ROSEA, MICROMMATA ROSEUM The ♀ builds a nest of joint woven leaf and guards the eggs until the eggs hatch after which she is yellow coloured and lost a lot of weight. LA: ≈ The ARANIELLA CUCURBITINA (Cucumber green spider) is more spherical with short legs, and the front is not as bright green. ≈ The DIAEA DORSATA (Green crab spider) has a brown rear. ≈ HERAEUS HIRTUS has a white pattern on the body and often a pink spot.
