Small thin bug with a remarkable heart-shaped light marking just behind the neck shield. The wings extend the body, and the colour is variable from green to brown or red-orange. The legs and antennae are mostly red. It feeds on the sap of plants and foliage. ⇔ l. 3-6 mm Widespread and often in large numbers making them a pest for agriculture. LA: ≈ The RHABDOMIRIS STRIATELLUS has a similar neck marking but is with brighter colours.
