Large white butterfly with semi-transparent wings with a black and white pattern. On the top surface of front wings just black markings, on rear wings 2 red marks. 3 eyes on the underside with little red marks at the base. ⇔ wsp. 65-75 mm LA: ≈ Larger than the PARNASSIUS PHOEBUS (Phoebus Apollo) which has red marks on the front wing and a yellow glow on the underside. ≈ Also larger than the PARNASSIUS MNEMOSYNE (Clouded Apollo) which has no red and fewer black markings.
