Small black brown beetle with light markings on its brushy hairy shield, a long nose and well developed grabbing legs. Night active, a rather slow beetle nibbling at leaf edges, the larvae are below surface feeding on roots. ⇔ l. 8-11 mm syn. Black vine weevil This species has PARTHENOGENESIS (asexual reproduction) and there are more ♀ than ♂.
