Brown black beetle with rows of small yellowish markings on a grooved shield. The antennae are at the tip of the extended snout. This beetle eats wood, buds and bark of pine and the larvae feed on bark and sapwood. ⇔ l. 8-13 mm LA: ≈ The OTIORHYNCHUS SULCATUS (Vine weevil) also has yellow markings but they are randomly distributed.
